At first, it seemed that psychology would naturally define my professional life. So much so that those who knew me in my teenage years still mistakenly believe I run a clinic. But everything changed in October 1998, when I got my first personal computer and accessed the Internet for the first time. That experience completely transformed my path.
With the computer came Office software, and among its tools, Microsoft Publisher. Shortly after, I dared to create my first website, a project that sparked my interest in more complex programming technologies. By the year 2000, I had already connected with people from different countries, exchanging ideas and knowledge through the possibilities offered by the Internet. It was in this context of global collaboration that the idea of building a thematic website for the worldwide dissemination of audiovisual content came to me.
Motivated by this dream, I decided to visit the company that sold me the computer and Internet service. There, I met two professionals—an engineer and an administrator—both with experience and solid expertise. Perhaps due to my enthusiasm or my youth, they treated me exceptionally well and shared advice that laid the foundation for my first steps in the digital world.
This journey, which began in Psychology but was redirected by technology, has been an ongoing experience of learning and adaptation. The intersection of human sciences and engineering has proven to be fertile ground for innovation, enabling me to explore new ways of communication and understanding in the digital age. These have become the fundamental pillars of Tothom.
